Through the calls or e-mails we receive, we've developed a list of "frequently asked questions" below. If you think we've missed something, or if there is one you think we should add, please let us know. Thank you! What if I don't care where my stub-out is, do I need to turn in a form? You don't have to turn in a form, if you have no preference. If we don't receive a form, the contractor will place the stub-out approximately 15-20 feet from the edge of your driveway. And, just to be sure, we may still try to contact you as we get close to your property. I haven't sent in the sewer stub-out form and I'm concerned they won't have the information when they get to my house. We are making sure the contractor has the information prior to getting in front of the property owner. If necessary, in some instances, we've walked ahead and knocked on doors to make sure the property owner has an opportunity to provide input. How will I know where the stub-out is located when it comes time to connect? The stub-outs will be installed and capped, and there will be a marker which will be slightly above ground to make your stub-out easy to locate when it comes time. When can I hook up my house to the sewer connection? The sewer lines being installed in front of the properties right now do not yet connect to the new sewer plant, so they cannot receive any flows. The plant is scheduled to be complete in July 2008, so it will be sometime in July 2008 that those connections can be made. You'll be receiving more information from the Camp Verde Sanitary District as that date approaches. What happens to my septic tank? Once you're notified it's okay to hook into the sewer, your septic tank will have to be abandoned. That usually means it will have to be cleaned out, and then either removed or filled with dirt or gravel. You'll receive specific instructions on how that is done and some contractors that are certified to do that as that time approaches. How deep are the sewer lines in front of my property? The sewer line is a gravity sewer line so it works on the principal of being deeper as it gets nearer the plant or lift station, and more shallow the further away. For example, at Fort River Caves, where the line enters the subdivision (the corner of Silver Bugle and River Cave Road), the line is at its deepest - approximately 10-11 feet deep. However, as it makes its way up River Cave Road and Cliff House, it will become more shallow, nearer to 5 feet deep.
